Mr. Ramesh Kumar Bagla is a stalwart name in eastern India’s timber industry, having started his career in the trade in 1973. While his unrelenting observance of outstanding quality and world-class processes have helped Sunrise Timbers evolve into a vanguard of excellence in this region, he has contributed enormously to the sector en bloc. Mr. Bagla’s experience, which began with local trade of railway sleeper wood and eventually encompassing the entire gamut of timber trade, has proved invaluable in his role as both the Secretary (2 years) and the President (4 years) of Bengal Timber Importer’s Association. As the treasurer of Calcutta Timber Merchant, Mr. Bagla has had a great impact on the organisation’s overall development for 15 long years.
Mr. Ramesh Kumar Bagla’s incredible proficiency has resulted in augmenting Sunrise Timber’s turnover from single digit to double digits. He has ensured no less than 100% customer satisfaction and has retained their loyalty for more than four decades.
Mr. Ramesh Kumar Bagla takes a keen interest in cultural development and contributes significantly and regularly in events organised by the Marwari Sanskriti Manch.

Gaurav Bagla:

The vibrant and youthful Mr. Gaurav Bagla adds to Sunrise Timber the much-needed zest to take on the 21st century. A post-graduate in Business Management, this brilliant young mind is building on both his academic training and decade-long experience in the timber industry. Mr. Gaurav Bagla emphasises on system-oriented organisaion, transforming the traditional operations of family-owned business in the process. He took the initiative to implement SOP, which radically eased business functions. Moreover, he shifted the organisation’s focus to procuring goods directly from their country of origin. His contemporary ideas complement the profound experience of his father, Mr. Ramesh Kumar Bagla, himself.
Mr. Gaurav Bagla feels strongly towards educating underprivileged children from both rural and urban areas and is, therefore, actively associated with the Ekal Vidyalayas initiative.
